Outband’s team features help organizations standardize communication, share knowledge, and maintain consistent policies across team members.
Team features require the Team plan ($100/month per user) or Enterprise plan (custom pricing). Individual plans (Starter, Professional, Executive) are for personal use.

Team Dashboard

The Team Dashboard gives team leads and administrators a shared view of:
  • Team communication patterns and volume
  • Shared policies and their compliance status
  • Team Repo entries and knowledge articles
  • Member list and their roles
Access it from the Team section in the sidebar.

Team Policies

Team policies let you standardize how your team communicates:
  1. Go to Team > Policies
  2. Create policies using natural language rules (Outband uses “Policy-as-Markdown”)
  3. Policies apply to all team members automatically
Examples of team policies:
  • “Always respond to client emails within 4 business hours”
  • “External communications must use formal tone”
  • “Legal-related threads require manager approval before responding”
Policies are version-controlled — you can see who changed what and when.

Team Repo

The Team Repo is an automatically generated knowledge repository built from your team’s communication:
  • When a team member explains a complex topic in email or Slack, Outband can distill it into a shareable knowledge article
  • New team members can browse the Team Repo to understand institutional knowledge
  • Articles are linked to the original conversations for context

Adding to the Team Repo

Knowledge entries are added automatically when Outband detects significant explanations or decisions in team communication. Team members can also manually add entries.

Organization Management

  2. Select Invite
  3. Enter email addresses
  4. Select the role for each invitee
  5. Invitees receive an email invitation

Enterprise SSO

Enterprise customers can configure SSO (SAML) for single sign-on:
  1. Go to Admin > SSO Configuration
  2. Follow the setup guide for your identity provider (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, etc.)
  3. Once configured, team members sign in through your company’s identity provider
SCIM provisioning is also available for automatic user management from your corporate directory.

Enterprise Admin Dashboard

Enterprise administrators have access to additional tools:
  • User Management — View all users, their roles, activity, and trust levels
  • Audit Logs — Complete audit trail of all AI actions and user overrides
  • Policy Management — Organization-wide policies with enforcement
  • Usage Analytics — Communication volume, AI usage, and adoption metrics
  • Data Residency — Configure where your organization’s data is stored (US, EU, APAC)

Best Practices

Before rolling out to the team, define 3-5 key communication policies. This ensures consistency from day one.
When new members join, point them to the Team Repo. It captures institutional knowledge that would otherwise require weeks of meetings to transfer.
For compliance and quality assurance, review audit logs weekly. Look for unexpected patterns or policy violations.
